McGee Equine Veterinary Clinic was founded in 2011 by Dr. Chad McGee and Dr. Lauren Greene. In the beginning, McGee Equine provided veterinary care to horses only. However, it quickly became evident that there were many other large animal species in the area that needed veterinary care, so we expanded our services to include routine and emergency care for sheep, goats, alpacas, and llamas. We occasionally see other species (we have one Buffalo patient!), but please call first to verify.

McGee Equine has three veterinarians available for routine or emergency veterinary care. All veterinary care is provided on an ambulatory basis, meaning we examine and treat your animals at their home location, which greatly minimizes the stress on the animals. Our veterinary trucks are fully equipped for all scenarios, making complete equine care on the farm convenient for all.

Routine care is provided on a daily basis Monday through Friday, and there is always a veterinarian on call for our clients for emergencies 24-7 365 days per year. We are firm believers that “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”, and work closely with horses and their owners to try and keep animals healthy, and avoid emergencies whenever possible.

Payment is due at the time of service, we accept cash, checks, and credit cards. If you need to change or reschedule your appointment please provide us with 24 business hours notice to avoid a late cancellation fee.
